In the company of 5-10 white-fronted geese, large elongated goose, not compact, slightly larger than neighbouring white-fronted geese, long neck, dark head and neck but clearly less dark than those of the tundra goose serrirostris, long beak with large central orange patch (60%), tip of beak and basal part of upper mandible black around nostrils, bright orange legs seen in bright sunlight, goose fairly uniformly brown in appearance with no contrast between upper and lower parts. We weren't able to see the bird take off - we were distracted! INCREDIBLE to find this rare species here. 100% certain. Unfortunately no photo.
